vista programs crash wake up

Hi,
Every time Vista goes to sleep upon wakeup the windows explorer crashes as does my internet explorer. Both turn white and then offer to restart due to some kind of error.
THis happens 100% of the time.
Anyone else having these issues?

is anyone having an issue with this? It is driving me CRAZY!!!

I have only just started to use the sleep mode and don't have this problem. My power key on the keyboard brings Vista out of sleep but without error. Note: I don't have any applications running apart from the desktop bars. If you have left things running try sleep with just the desktop. Do you have enough space on your hard dirve plus RAM?
I have Vista on its own HD plus have 2GB RAm if that makes any difference?

my C drive has 23GB free of 149GB.
I usually just have INternet Explorer running. It doesnt even have to be alseep. It could just be in screensaver mode and the same issue happens.
